Famous Sports Association List

 This is a list of International sports bodies, each of which functions as a non-governmental governing body for the sport they are responsible for and manages its sport on a world level, usually by drafting rules and promoting the sport to fans and prospective spectators as well as developing potential players as well as organising world or continental championships. Some international sports federations like the International Swimming Federation and the International Skating Union, may oversee multiple activities referred to in general terms as separate sports: FINA has, for instance, the power to regulate swimming diving, synchronised and diving and water polo as distinct "disciplines" within the single "sport" of Aquatics.
 
 International sports federations constitute an integral part to the Olympic and Paralympic movements. Each Olympic sport is represented through its international sports federation. They is then responsible for coordinating the activities in its specific sport during the Games. For a sport to become an Olympic sport its international sports association must be recognized as such by the International Olympic Committee.
 
 
 Also, an international sporting organization must be recognized by the International Paralympic Committee to permit its sport to be paralympic, however it is the case that many Paralympic Sports are controlled by a dedicated commission of International Paralympic Committee itself, as part of the World Para branding, for example , track and field. that is for disabled athletes is administered by the IPC itself, with the designation "World Para Athletics". Other Paralympic activities are governed under the structure of the equivalent for the physically abled that is, for instance, the UCI oversees both able-bodied as well as paralympic cycling.
